In 1890 Edward Green began to make handcrafted
shoes for gentlemen at a small factory in Northampton,
England. He soon gained the reputation for making
the ‘finest shoes in England for the discerning
few’. This reputation was founded on the
skill of his craftsmen and his belief in excellence.
His philosophy, simply to make the finest shoes
possible, remains to this day.
Elegant, well fitting and robust yet with lightness
and style, each pair of shoes is made individually
with traditional hand craftsmanship and using
only the finest quality leathers. Edward Green
has become discreetly famous for producing probably
the finest Goodyear welted shoes. Instantly
recognisable – an English look with international
appeal.
J. H. Cutler has an exclusive arrangement allowing
Edward Green to make shoes to our customer’s
own specifications. The style, last and leather
can all be chosen to create a shoe that is individually
yours.
